How successful has DLUHC @luhc been in matching domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) to Unique Property Reference Numbers (UPRNs)? #energyefficiency#opendata#proptech

DLUHC has recently released bulk data for EPCs lodged to the end of 2021. That dataset contains 22,243,396 EPCs.
UPRNs have been allocated to 20,551,337 records (92%).
Of those records, 8% of UPRNs were allocated by energy assessors and 92% by matching to OS AddressBase.

Good to see this. My recommendation: the new UK #dataprotection law should include reduced record-keeping requirements for organisations with fewer than 250 employees, and also more generally encourage the ICO to take account of the specific needs of SMEs. #UKGDPR#datareform

The GC's list includes some useful datasets, but also quite a few errors. The effect is to overstate the number of #opendata resources that are readily available for the purposes of housing and planning in the UK.
