Can’t believe I’m going to have to do a #schoolsreopening thread
well as the testing thread, but here we go. nytimes.com/2020/05/05/hea…
How will they #controlthevirus in the playground, toilets, every surface they touch 100’s of times a day? Desks, books, tablets, doors, door knobs, chairs, crayons, hand rails, toys...Controlling this will be more traumatising for them than staying safely at home. And impossible.
Fuck.
Phone call from Home Help agency, they’re suspending their service, so I will no longer get help with cleaning, bed changing, cleaning bathroom, washing up. Don’t know how I’m going to cope. I’m also furious that they’re laying off all their part time staff #HighRiskCovid19
My home help has been coming for 7 years, suddenly she’s out of work. She’s a single Mum with 3 kids. What’s going to happen to her? #HighRiskCovid19

#SocialDistancing Thread
I am #HighRiskCovid19 with 4 high risk conditions & compromised immunity. I rely on carers support every day. I had persistent dry cough & my blood pressure & blood sugar was off the scale with tachycardia, paramedics in Hazmat suits took me to hospital >
We had to wait 1 1/2 hrs before we could even get in. They put me in isolation room after full decontamination from last patient. I was there 11 hours. Chest X-ray which had to come to me, bloods, swabs, drip. I have to wait for results, self isolate for 2 wks. #HighRiskCovid19 >
