2/ The government of Imre Nagy had not initially contemplated Hungarian withdrawal from the Warsaw Pact, but faces strong pressure from revolutionary activists who want to restore Hungarian sovereignty and remove all Soviet troops from the country.

The LNER service from Newcastle to Kingโs Cross had made an unscheduled emergency stop at Huntingdon
British Transport Police: "We are currently responding to an incident on a train to Huntingdon where multiple people have been stabbed. Officers are in attendance alongside Cambridgeshire Police and two people have been arrested."
