Hypo on federal/state Crim jurisdiction:

If a fed official, a NY resident, engaged in a bribery/extortion scheme to harm a citizen of, let’s say Delaware, could a Delaware or NY prosecutor bring charges under DE or NY bribery/extortion law?

Asking for a President.
And a @VP.
2/ A loose precedent, if one is thinking about state jur flexibly, from a state bribery scheme spilling into the Vice Presidency and a state investigation:
Spiro Agnew.

Agnew wasn’t using a fed power directly, but was abusing the fed office.
@maddow @MaddowBlog Well, after some of my own research and assistance from @alegalnerd, it's not looking like NY bribery or extortion statutes give NY state prosecutors much latitude to charge Trump officials...

Trump told Lavrov & Kislyak in the infamous May 2017 Oval Office meeting that he was unconcerned about Moscow’s interference in the U.S. election because the United States did the same in other countries, an assertion that prompted alarmed White House officials.

The same meeting in which Trump revealed highly classified information that exposed a source of intelligence on the Islamic State.

He also said during the meeting that firing FBI Director James B. Comey the day before had relieved “great pressure” on him.

A memorandum summarizing the meeting was limited to all but a few officials with the highest security clearances in an attempt to keep the president’s comments from being disclosed publicly.

It is not clear if the memo was placed into the secret system.

They wanted to get rid of Nixon as soon as possible too but they had to have their ducks in a row. Why? Because Spiro Agnew was worse . They had to get Spiro Agnew before Nixon because they couldn’t have an even worse criminal in the Oval Office.

Listen to #Bagman if you haven't yet. It's great! Those who have know the Md USAtty who green-lighted prosecutors' work on the Agnew case was George Beall. As @Maddow explains, when Beall died in 2017, Rod Rosenstein honored him with a glowing and revealing tribute. Here it is:1/
"George Beall was a legendary federal prosecutor, an exemplary public servant and a lawyer of unsurpassed integrity... Although George Beall's family was politically active & Vice President agnew was a member of Beall's own political party, Beall did not hesitate to pursue 2/
the case. His commitment to justice serves as an example to us all." Rod Rosenstein, quoted, on January 17, 2017, in praise of the late USAtty George Beall, who according to Agnew prosecutor Ron Leibman,"never batted an eye when we presented the case."…
