The news agenda is still dominated by one event in #Russia, where the first serious questions are being asked by "regular" (non liberal) families over military disasters.

It follows this wipeout of a new battalion of mobilised troops by #Ukraine's forces

#Russia's daily losses, published by #Ukraine each day, shows fewer troops and equipment destroyed yesterday than in recent days.

The wipeout of the Voronezh battalion happened previously and likely included in previous days' figures.

The daily Intel update from Britain's Ministry of Defence has a "weekend" feel to it again!

They revisit the sacking of General Lapin which I covered a while ago as part of a battle between #Russia's MoD and Prigozhin/Wagner 'hawks'

This footage has been published in #Kherson, supposedly from the regional government building.

Remember #Russia's flag was removed earlier this week and it looks genuine that this is indeed the now abandoned building.

It's also said toilets were again stolen, but no proof here:

For anyone in #Ukraine the last task at night or first in the morning is to check when the power cuts will happen and if they will be able to do any of the things you and I did

Devastation in #Zaporizhzhia overnight with two rockets from #Russia hitting the city centre.

At least one person died in the attacks. One shell hit a local business, the other landed in a residential area.

I deleted this video from liberated #Lyman and now reposting because #Russia has just claimed it hit a base for #Ukraine fighters, presumably this school was it.

The Kremlin says "up to 100 foreign mercenaries" were destroyed including "about 40 from USA, UK and Poland."

#Russia indirectly admits hacking former British PM's phone.

Moscow spy chief Sergey Naryshkin told a TV programme an SMS from Liz Truss to Anthony Blinken saying "everything is done" referred to the #NordStream pipeline sabotage.

This news is hardly a surprise, but even some pro-#Russia bloggers now say #Kherson will be conceded in "3-4 days"

The scenes from the admin building and removal of guard-posts indicated that, but #Ukraine has warned it could be a trap.

Kherson's the only major city 🇷🇺 gained.

It looks like another oil terminal in #Russia has been struck. This is in the district of Grayvoron bordering #Ukraine.

However Russians are saying it's a solvent tank alight in an industrial enterprise.

Much of occupied #Kherson region has been without power all day and some residents also without water.

Now #Russia says #Ukraine's Resistance has caused the outages with an explosion on the Beryslav-Kakhovka road which damaged concrete supports of a high-voltage power line.

Now they resort to just burying "#Russia's heroes" at the side of the road.

Spokesman for #Ukraine's Southern Command, Vladislav Nazarov says the Kremlin's propaganda channels stopped being transmitted about a week ago after the previous wave of "evacuations".
