Have been contemplating online retirement for a while, just waiting for a few predictions to pan out. Looking forward to days of fishing and relaxing.

@CasPiancey @BennettTomlin just listened to #ftx podcast. The bit when you discussed the irony re: #coindesk & #digitalcurrencygroup reminded me of one of my favourite (and I believe most under rated in importance) is #coinapult

First a reminder....Bazza Silbert....#DCG was original known as #bitcoin opportunity fund.

Here's a #coindesk article from Oct 2014 covering an investment into #coinapult which included #bitcoinopportunitycorp aka #dcg aka #digitalcurrencygroup

here's #coindesk quoting #coinapult investors as believing the investment was a no brainer.

best of all the same article takes it up a notch covering the awesome new partnership between #coinapult and payment group #payza

#payza might sound familiar. Here's #coindesk interview ing #cryptomuppet #charlieshrem a couple of months earlier shilling the shit out the onestop wonders of #payza

Some of us would better know #payza as the #ponzi #paymentsprocesser run by two dodgy bros out of #canada who were sentenced for #moneylaundering in 2020.

Getting back to #coinapult some of you might remember their #legalcounsel #stuarthoegner
aka Hoegy of #bitfinex #tether

In March 2015 #coinapult was hacked for 150 #bitcoin the incident report notes they were using a #bitfinex account as part of the post hack testing.

Things went sideways for #coinapult after that as two months later in May 2015. they were 'integrated' into #cryptocapital

wtf does 'integrated with' really mean? Well my view is its spin for its busted and was 'absorbed' (acquired) by #cryptocapital. This is exact timeframe that #bitfinex / #tether claim they first started working with #cryptocapital

just to recap. #barrysilbert was investor in #coinapult via #dcg legal counsel was #stuarthoegner #coinapult had a partnership with #ponzi payment processor #payza got hacked and then integrated into #cryptocapital

#cryptocapital became the payment processor for #tether/#bitfinex their lawyer was so incompetent that he failed to ensure the parties had a contract in place and they had $850m stolen from them.

Maybe #coindesk should ask #silbert when did #dcg write off their investment into #coinapult was it before or after the integration with #cryptocapital

was #dcg aware one of their portfolio investments partnered with a group that was convicted of #moneylaundering and integrated into a group that stole $850m and all the officers (and some of their family) are in jail or on the run.

and the common denominator across those events was coinapults legal advisor...
