I’ve had a few hours to think on it. I view this leak of the Trump legal memo as an indicator that something is likely coming in the next couple of days. This Camp David trip looks even odder now. 10 days before the NK summit and the President isn’t in prep with the NSC?
Could I be wrong? Absolutely. The trip could just be a trip and the leak could just be that; a leak.

Trump, Jr., even a possible subpoena of the President. This trip to Camp David could be a family pow-wow to prepare for the legal and political battle that is to come. That’s why Melania isn’t there. That’s not the role she plays for the President.

is the only thing that makes me think Mueller will hold off any action against the President until at least the summit is over. I just don’t see Mueller wanting to be viewed as interfering with the diplomatic relations of the country on such a sensitive issue. Issuing a
subpoena to the President just as he is about to embark on a summit to try and begin a multi-stage process of denuclearization of North Korea would damage Mueller’s credibility and possibly hurt the country. Mueller is too much of an institutionalist for that.
