4) The emails are about a meeting in JANUARY. This is JUNE. The emails just now got leaked? Impressive, I would have expected them to leak like right away.

6) So basically, Rosenstein was responding to a thread to hold him in contempt of Congress, which this dumbass staffer believes that subpoenas for records to defend himself in a contempt case is the same as using prosecutor powers.
7) Yeah. THAT'S what this entire article is about. Rosenstein noted that he could defend himself against a contempt of Congress charge PRETTY easily, and instead of backing down, Congress is leaking to Fox News and anyone else that Rosenstein 'threatened' them.

9) So the DoJ says that Rosenstein was responding to a threat to hold him in contempt of Congress, the staffer who presumably leaked the emails said yeah it was that but the staffer wants to interpret it as a personal attack, AND WHAT DOES FOX NEWS RUN AS THE HEADLINE.
