Great thread by @TheChillum on Bill Priestap. Note that he was the Special Agent In Charge of Counterintelligence for the NY Field Office from 2013-Dec-2015. They was during the CI investigation of a Russian spy ring in NY. A case that used a variety of Undercover FBI Employees &
Confidential Source to sting Russian spies. 2012-13 Priestap used @carterwpage to pretend he was giving information to the Russian spies. He also used a casino sting that included Sater, Cohen & maybe Trump to pretend they wanted to collude w/Russians.
So Bill Priestap must have known that the individuals the FBI were targeting for collusion did it on his approval as part of an FBI investigation. Only question is if he was trying to protect those sources or help frame them for collusion. Time will tell. justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/e…
