@jzanier468 @TheRealDRaff My grandmother was sent to Auschwitz with the rest of Budapest’s 200,000 Jews. She met my grandfather there. Grandfather was a medical doctor, so he was kept alive.

My aunt was hid in a box, in an attic in Budapest. A brave neighbour kept her cared for (and quiet).
@jzanier468 @TheRealDRaff My aunt was the daughter of my grandmother’s first husband. He was Hungarian. He was sent to fight the Soviets in the war.

Yes, they drafted him, and while he was away, they deported his wife to a death camp. Nazis gonna naz.
@jzanier468 @TheRealDRaff After the war my grandparents had my mother and one more son. They lived a long and happy life. Their children and grandchildren now live and prosper in all corners of the globe while half of Hitler’s skull is buried in cement, somewhere under a parking lot in East Germany.
@jzanier468 @TheRealDRaff Oh, I have not heard of this. I will have a looksie, thank you.
