Just finished reading "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by @RebeccaSkloot. A really, really, good book. Highly recommend it.

"The book is about Henrietta Lacks and the immortal cell line, known as HeLa, that came from Lacks's cervical cancer cells in 1951."
The cells were taken and stored without her/her family's knowledge or permission, by the way. Some of her family members died in poverty while laboratories made millions of dollars using her cells to develop new vaccines and important tests.
But it's a beautiful (and important) book.
