Anyone who follows me knows thast for the past two years, I've been taking my kids to national parks every chance I get -- under the assumption that they'd be destroyed or sold off during Trump's term. Breaks my heart that this theory bore out. theglobeandmail.com/opinion/articl…

People who say "Don't impeach because it won't work" blow my mind. The government is shut down by a nuke-bearing sociopath who serves hostile states with a cabal of criminals whose policies include locking up kids in Texas border camps where they die.

How's that working out?
Will the Senate impeach Trump? Not likely. If Congress did impeach Trump, would he leave office? Nope!

Is starting impeachment the right move? YES. It forces hearings, which in turn changes expectations of accountability. It helps gives the public the information they deserve.
Part of the reason some people are reluctant to accept the sheer horrific scope of what the Trump admin does is lack of consequences. They think "If it's that bad -- if he's an asset, they're criminals -- surely someone would have stopped them!"

They didn't. But they must.

This new push by anti trans cis women to say they would have been 'transed' because they were tomboys in their youth has made me extremely angry.
I am a trans man and the author of a book published by JKP called 'Not Just a Tomboy' so I feel qualified to speak on this 1/
It seems they've changed angles now. Last year's line was ''all trans men are just confused lesbians who were transed' . I guess they realised how misogynistic it is to suggest women are so feeble minded they can be so easily swayed to not truly know their own identity 2/
Also, perhaps they've finally realised that swathes of trans men are not attracted to women. That trans men exist in numbers across the sexuality spectrum. So now they needed a new tactic and have settled on conflating non-conformity with being trans. 3/

1. As I said yesterday, we got Trump the same way I got Obama the same way we got Bush the same way we got Clinton: We allowed our civil society, our shared sense of civic responsibility, and our view of government as just the thing that governs rot out from beneath us.
2. You have an affirmative duty to the species to have lots of babies. You may not be able to fulfill that duty, you may discharge it in a few ways, but the duty exists because otherwise the species withers and dies and we are the only species created imago Dei.
