Years ago the precious, Obama, decided to Cede the domain name system from US control to International control. A nonprofit of international interests took over and they act as repository while private companies now lease the domains and register them with ICANN.
This means now any company like GAB can and will be turned off by the political leanings of these private tech companies, and we used to own and control the damn thing. This is essentially the procedure.
