The biggest cheatcode to learning something is by making it fun.

Major psychological hack.

No lie.

Making something fun sparks internal desire.

The internal desire is crucial to connect your brain & heart.

That level of synergy will have you learning like a superstar.
'Can you explain this cheatcode in more detail? I'm interested.'

Sure.

Let me explain why you need the brain & heart to properly learn & retain.

This strategy will have you getting smarter & enjoying it at the same time.

Read on!

👇👇
The majority traditionally only learn with the head.

And who can blame them?

That's how we were taught in school.

We were given tons of material to learn, memorize & spit out in a test.

We have been conditioned to learning like our head.

Result?

Learning feels like work.
It feels like work because we are being told to consume material we do not give a shit about.

Which leads to people procrastinating, cramming & just half assing the process.

Now many will be able to pass the exams with the 50/50 effort, sure.

But is any of it retained?

Nah.
The reason it is not retained is because you are missing a key component of learning.

'And what is that bucko?'

Desire.

'And how do I get that buster?'

Emotion.

'Really?'

Ya. You cannot only learn with your brain.

You need your heart as well.

'How?'

Good question. 👇
You can get your heart involved in many ways tbh.

I traditionally do 2 things:

1. Future projection.

2. Game.

These are my strategies, but you can experiment with your own.

Heck, you may already be doing these without even knowing it!
1. Future Projection

I envision my future self being a pro in whatever I am trying to learn.

Currently I'm a masters student for business intelligence & systems engineering.

So I have to deal with certain topics I love & some that are a lil dry.
When I am met with something dry, I envision it in my future.

'Example?'

Learning Powershell.

Scripting is cool & all, but not fun for me.

So how do I make it fun?

I picture myself as a future CEO who knows scripting inside & out.

This info helps me automate like a star.
And then I envision how automating with powershell scripts gives me a competitive advantage.

And so on...

Point is, you need to be creative.

Keep searching for new angles that you can apply to your subject & then make it relate to you.

This sparks desire within you.

Power.
2. Game

I try to turn things into a game.

When I was learning public speaking, I had massive speech anxiety.

Getting on stage was very difficult for me.

So what did I do?

I turned it into a game.

This requires creativity to brainstorm different game tactics.
My idea of turning it into a game was by breaking it into levels.

Each speech would help me reach a new level

Comprting in speech competitions were like fighting a boss in a video game

Recruiting members for Toastmasters & helping them overcome their fear were cheatcodes etc.
Both these strategies make you forget that you are learning.

Rather you are simply doing something because it is fun.

And who doesn't want to have fun?

*crickets*

Exactly.

This is how you level up like an OG.

By bringing out your inner child.

That's they hidden key 🗝
Once you have your brain absorbing the content & your heart fueling the engine, you become UNSTOPPABLE.

You are going to be learning.

You are going to be applying.

You are going to be retaining.

Congratulations, welcome to the top 3%.
Now go learn something to help you reach closer to your grandest self.

You'll be stunned why you weren't learning like this in school.

But oh well.

Better late than never.

Go discover your inner genius!
