NYPD arrested James Polite, 26, and charged him with criminal mischief as a hate crime, making graffiti, and arson for these fires. He has been reportedly admitted to a hospital psychiatric ward for observation.
A year ago, Polite was profiled by NYT -- a foster care kid who interned for Democrat City Council Speaker @ChrisCQuinn "working on initiatives to combat hate crime, sexual assault and domestic violence"

@chriscquinn NYT: The 142 "anti-Semitic incidents have constituted half of all hate crimes in New York this year," per NYPD. 4x as many crimes motivated by bias against Jews as there have against blacks. More than crimes against transgender people by a factor of 20.

@chriscquinn From same NYT story, and of significance: "During the past 22 months, not one person caught or identified as the aggressor in an anti-Semitic hate crime has been associated with a far right-wing group," per NYPD.

Knowledgeable source tells me that White House forced out Pentagon Chief of Staff Rear Admiral Kevin Sweeney (ret.)
Official title was “Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Defense.”
Sweeney was going to leave within a couple months, having worked directly for Mattis, but WH forced him out before he wanted to leave, knowledgeable source says.

These are acts of domestic terror. #Terrorism is a violent act that doesn’t target victims directly but intends to send a broader msg to the target population (Morin, 2016). In the case of hate it’s Jews, Black ppl, LGBTQ, Muslims.

Gang assault in New York, does not mean membership in a "gang," it just requires the participation of three or more people in an assault. This is a classic gang assault situation. Oh and, hey, hate crime charges - there were repeated use of homophobic and racial slurs.

(1) At this stage all we know is that "a man deliberately rammed a truck into FOX 4 studios in Dallas and started ranting."

We do not know if he is genuinely left, right, or faking one of those, or this is non political and maybe psychosis is involved.

So hold your horses.
(2) The sheer speed with which political twitter is accusing this man of being a leftist is ringing alarm bells for me.

Can you wait just five minutes to find out information from the scene before you take the bait? This behavior is no better than what the other side does.
(3) Waiting a teency little bit longer is a nothing-to-lose proposition for me.

Meantime, wherever you live:
