The mistrust amongst Lagosians is sad and worrying. Last night, I saw a woman with a boy, probably 4/5yrs old. She stood on a dark lonely road. She clearly needed a ride as I saw her trying to flag down buses. Unfortunately, non of the buses will wait.
I drove past her and came back to offer her a ride to a reasonable location. She declined the offer. I literally begged her to come in as where she stood wasn't safe. Somewhere, I guess she must have heard that we are in the 'Ember months and she shouldn't accept any help.
Especially if this help comes from strangers. Even if this help might save her from untold trouble. Here's hoping she got home safe last night.
