Until @adeyanjudeji is released, kindly take all your daily troubles brought to me to your elected leaders in their hundreds. All roads should lead to the Villa. We have downed tools. If they feel nation building can work without building TRUST, they should walk in our shoes.
We are all Deji Adeyanju and you are all SEGA Now. It is time to be responsible. All DMs should go to those hailing impunity henceforth. They benefit from oppression and should take responsibility. #FreeDejiAdeyanju
There are amoral sons of Perdition son Government payroll blackmailing and cyberstalking citizens across the media space but none of them has been charged for terrorism and defamation. Even the Govt themselves have accused past leaders of stealing without proof or probe.
What then is defamation? Who is being defamed? Defamation is when someone tells one or more persons an untruth about you, and that untruth harms your reputation. Defamation is the general term, while slander and libel refer to particular types of defamation.
The word reputation should be underlined. If I place a mirror before a renowned pathological liar and make him/her see in truth his/her real reflection have I defamed anyone?

Libel is a written defamation, and slander is verbal. This is a political tool here in Nigeria.
There are three key factors to consider when deciding whether a defamatory statement should be taken to court.

1.The defamatory statement must be a lie.
Often, we confuse every negative comment about us with defamation. Unfortunately, not all negative statements are defamation.
We must never mix morality with the Law lest we destroy our civilization and reveal the current pseudo democracy for what it truly is. The constitution guarantees the right to free speech that applies not just to statements about the government, but also about each other.
An Ethical leader would never use public office and public institutions to fight personal battles. This is a weakness and abuse of power. Though the right of free speech is not without limit, though.
When someone communicates, either in writing or verbally, a statement that is not true about you they step beyond the bounds of their right to free speech and may be subject to civil liability to you.

So in cases of civil liabilities why should court orders be jettisoned?
What about statements of opinion, though? After all, they are not exactly facts or necessarily untrue if it is the person's opinion, but they can be negative and hurtful. So on which side of the equation do opinions lie? Well, as it turns out, the answer is both.
If the opinion is a legitimate one, then it is protected free speech. If the opinion is outrageous or designed solely to harm the reputation of the person the opinion is purportedly about, it can be defamation. Confusing, right?
The only way to know for sure is to talk to a qualified, experienced attorney which is why @adeyanjudeji will get all the retinue of legal representation he needs. The international community have been notified and a new media series will begin across continents.
What is the actual harm in this defamation charge and to whom? What are the evidences available? (Please don’t say Twitter and Facebook Posts- this is a country not a Crèche). Is there a basis or validity for Deji’s claim however emotional his tantrums were?
This all began with the National Assembly’s findings which indicted the VP. Afterall he was in charge of all the funds for IDP in Nigeria. Has he in anyway rendered an account/report since he took charge? How much do we have in all & how much has been spent? What are the impacts?
If there are reports bordering on specificity anywhere, why would anyone go on a rant having seen the NASS report? There are 14Million facing Famine currently according to several reports including UNICEF. People are actually suffering and dying as a matter of fact.
Why haven’t we declared FAMINE at the least? I will condemn anyone however who accuse any of our leaders of theft without probe but here are the questions put less poetically without drama;
Where is the Demographic Data And Where and What is the Impact of this enormous humanitarian effort being managed by our most esteemed? @CNNAfrica @BBCAfrica @PremiumTimesng @tvcnewsng @AbdulMahmud01 @citizen_gavel @AMADICHIMA
The TraderMoni et al could have been deployed through a more dignified channel using the National Identity Management Card (NIMC) without troubling our ecclesiasticalVice President with such a mundane task of doling cash at the eve of a major election.
These are the concerns of every educated citizen with a pulse. Some of our citizens may be erratic or emotional in their methods of engagement but these are the issues. Political leadership is actually service and not a Monarchy. We can ask questions objectively.
No one need be made an overnight Hero with excessive force of the State just because they asked questions or misdemeanor. With great Power comes great responsibility. We worked hard at achieving the little wins with the Police & without understanding that would have been ruined.
Make a believer of Nigerians and at the least be accountable and transparent. The questions won’t go away & worries won’t dissipate. Excessive force spreads the Revolution message faster. Let us be responsible & not destroy the fragile ribbon of trust between the people & Police.
...End of Celestial Admonition....
While Adeyanju’s case got bumped up to National importance, Our patriotic valiant Police Officers serving their fatherland recorded a huge success in Maiduguri against Rustlers. One of them got killed but all this was buried under the excessive force against one citizen in Abuja!
This to me is grossly expensive and needless. It doesn’t inspire confidence nor show maturity in any sense. Our police institution has been on the watch for the past years. They were deemed the bottom worst in the World and clearly the worst in Africa yet FG do this to them?🤔
