The NTA/Council spent €12,000 hiring an international expert on cycling then wilfully ignored his advice, re-inventing the Dodder Greenway five years later, with a poor plan that forced pedestrians and cyclists into conflict. Money well spent. They clearly didn't listen.
Dublin has done little on cycling infra. Liffey Cycle planning started 2011. Dodder Greenway planning started 2013. GDA Cycle Network practically nothing delivered since 2013. But sure the NTA gives out about Colville-Anderson being out-of-date. Clearly so much has changed.
Also 👏👏👏 @sanzscript for another fantastic article in @thetimesIE. Hearing @copenhagenize's take on cycling in Dublin is interesting and insightful.
