A few tidbits in a new order issued by the judge in the El Chapo trial:

Judge Cogan also denied a 2nd request by the defense to cross examine another witness, Vicente Zambada Niebla, on his claims he had a deal w/DEA to traffic drugs in exchange for intel on rival cartels.

Lastly, Judge Cogan ruled the defense can't bring up Operation Fast & Furious, the botched ATF weapons investigation that led to guns reaching cartel hands.
