One thing that took me too long time to get right: SEO for pre-product market fit SaaS. Often times, owning your direct response keywords wont drive meaningful growth. You have to inject your brand into the current market convos, rather than waiting for them to get on your level.
I've worked with a few VPs who were unhappy (some even kind of angry?) that there wasn't more search volume for their industry or product... often in an industry that's existed for less than five years. Go figure huh?
That's why focusing on pain is such a good entry point with pre-product market fit, its just before a buyer recognizes they need a solution. It's the perfect time to get your educational content in front of them - before they have a consideration set formed.
