Very glad #ExposeChristianSchools is trending.

So many act like there's an epidemic of censorship at left-wing universities, when tons of Christian colleges don't allow swearing, long hair, pre-marital sex, homosexuality & much more. No one says a peep.

(thread 2) Ok, in regards to Christian Universities prohibiting basic freedom of expression by having the ability 2 kick out students 4 their sexuality the common critique is 'they aren't taxpayer funded.'

Well, they ARE subsidized by our tax $ with taxbreaks, Pellgrants & more

(thread 3) On top of that hundreds of these schools are granted Title IX exemption which allows them to legally circumvent our discrimination laws. This is a special right that is only given to religious institutions. IMO this is fundamentally unAmerican

To what point? Should they be able 2 stone those who work on the Sabbath? Of course not. They shouldn't B able 2 legally discriminate against those with immutable characteristics either

'Students sign up 4 this.' Probably the best argument. Sure, but many of these people are indoctrinated from a young age. Others may only be given the choice of a Christian School if their parents will pay 4 it. This doesn't take into account how easily many conform —

(thread 7) Ultimately these students often barely know themselves & tons are in the closet. They're thrust into a system where they must keep their sexuality a secret or face expulsion. Sorry, that's just an infringment on their rights & it's bull$hit.
