1) This year, y'all are getting the Dark Fudge.

Watch as I put on full display what exactly has gotten so fucked up with our political discourse, our society, our culture.

Hold on to your butts.

2) My thesis starts with a sci-fi story.

Yeah, go figure.

The sci-fi story (whose name I don't remember) involves a generation colony ship.

3) For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, its basically an idea for interstellar colonization in which a ship is loaded with families who live, work on, and pilot the ship towards a habitable planet over several successive generations.

4) So, this colony ship has one full generation in which they will never know living on a planet. They weren't children nor will they have any friends their age who are originally from Earth, and they are the last generation who won't live long enough to reach the new planet.

5) They are a stepping stone. They are doomed to live out their entire life on this ship. Their purpose has already been predetermined, to make the next generation and keep the ship moving. None of them asked for this, none of them have any choice in the matter.

6) So they take the one option they can. They stop having children and they tear the ship down around them. They reject their predetermined destiny in favor of destructive nihilism.

7) In the end, the ship falls apart and becomes a lifeless derelict.

But what the fuck does that have to do with today?

8) There is an entire generation, and I mean an ENTIRE GENERATION, that sees itself as nothing more than a stepping stone, and they are PISSED.

Millennials.

To note, I too am a Millennial. I've studied my generation, I grew up alongside my generation, I know my generation.

9) This isn't specifically a left or right thing. All of you assuming it is, stop. Just stop.

10) What is it to be a Millennial?

To be a Millennial is to have the defining moment of our generation be the turn of the millennium, an even which amounted to exactly jack diddly shit.

11) To be a Millennial is to have our great war, the war on terrorism, hijacked and taken from us. By the time most of us were old enough to fight, both Afghanistan and Iraq had turned into insurgency-fighting quagmires propping up heroin farming warlords and child rapists.

12) To be a Millennial is to take the anger that built up that could have been turned into an American zeitgeist, an angry go-fuck-yourself driven economic reconquista of the world, and walk into the killing fields that was the worst job market in generations.

13) I empathize with @AOC. I do. I don't give her near as much grief as others do because I get it. She has a goddamn college degree in economics the same as me and she was working as a fucking BARISTA.

I get it. I worked amazon warehouse pick crews and fucking call centers.

15) But yeah. Do I disagree with her general stance? Yes. But I get where its coming from, because its coming from the same core emotional response that my worldview is.

16) So what happens when you have an entire generation that's a stepping stone that feels like it was given zero choice over its identity or its purpose?

What happened on that generation ship to the middle generation who would be trapped on it their entire lives?

17) The Millennial generation as a whole has turned to destructive nihilism. Everyone. Left, right, and center. We are all in some way trying to destroy some aspect of the world around us.

18) As the majority of Millennials are on the left, the behavior is most obvious there. Destruction of the idea of families as they aren't having kids or aren't getting married. Destruction of the idea of gender with trans ideology. Destruction of the idea of art.

19) Why is it that you think pointing out that socialism and communism are destructive ideologies remains one of the weakest and most ineffectual arguments against Millennials? The death and destruction isn't a deterrent. Its a FEATURE. Its what they WANT.

20) Political correctness is the destruction of our ability to communicate rationally with each other. SJW ideologies are the destruction of our ability to live in harmony with each other. Censorship is the destruction of our ability to think freely.

21) This isn't some new idea. You older generations, you knew it instinctively, like an animal knowing a hurricane's coming. Why do you think Republicans have been so reluctant to let Millennials into their ranks?

22) Yeah. Us right wing Millennials, we're trying to destroy things too. We're wanting to destroy the Republican party. We're actively egging on the SJW ideology with each fucking fight to make it bigger and angrier.

23) The Millennial generation didn't have its dragon to slay, so it BECAME the dragon, and conservative Millennials like me are the goblins poking the dragon in the ass with spears so it lunges forwards and tears your goddamn throats out.

24) You think I'm any better? I'm actively fighting and attacking the concept of polite discourse by swearing every five minutes. I'm trying to destroy the concept of social media by turning into an absurd parody of it.

25) I mean, fucking look at me. I'm a drunk asshole on Twitter who presents himself as a snarky piece of fudge. I actively invent terms like the Conservative Twitter Intelligentsia to MOCK PEOPLE. NO ONE GOT THE JOKE. Why the fuck are you all following me?!

26) To be a Millennial is to hate the entire world around you, to hate your generation, it is to live as an avatar of hate and destruction. When we attack each other? When we tear each other down in social media lynch mobs? Its because we take perverse pleasure in the destruction

27) Hey. Maybe Gen Z will have it better. I don't know. So far it looks like they're standing together and resisting the destruction. So maybe the Millennial purpose will in fact be as the dragon that Gen Z's purpose is to defeat. Who knows.
