i'm not very good at SSBU, but i am reasonably good at taxes, so this is my tier list

So, let's talk about pets. As mentioned in the list, pets are not dependents. However, if a Pokemon could be considered a service animal, then expenses relating to them COULD BE qualifying medical expenses. So, let's ask another question:

could Pokemon be seen as business expenses? For ex, a security dog could be seen as a valid, ordinary & necessary deductible expense. BUT most Pokemon are employed in the equivalent of dogfighting, which is an illegal activity.

The courts have said that ordinary and necessary exps can be deducted even when engaging in an illegal activity, unless Congress specifically prohibits them or those deductions would "sharply frustrate a national or state policy prohibiting such conduct"

So, for ex, even a convicted fraudster can typically deduct the legal expenses defending from that prosecution, because legal expenses are ordinary & necessary. But I am unsure if dogfighting exps fit here, or if they are deemed to "sharply frustrate" any national or state pols.

Most disputed rankings that I would probably agree with:

1) Ganondorf has legit sovereignty claims to multiple kingdoms
2) Sonic probably is an anarchist and sov. cit.
3) Yoshi...(*sigh*, this is really hard to admit) may be a deductible service animal.

Disputed rankings with situational interpretations:
4) IF Shinra is the government in FF7 and/or there is no government, then obviously Cloud doesn't pay taxes.
5) Isabelle either engages in tax planning regarding what counts as work planning, or pursues aggressive tax evasion
