The chairman and vice chairman of Trump's campaign met with a Russian agent and emissary of the Kremlin to discuss a secret deal for a Ukraine deal & to give him confidential campaign data--days after Trump asked for Russian help & sold the Russian line on Ukraine.
They did it in a building owned by the president's son-in-law. They hid it at the time by exiting through separate entrances. They lied about it repeatedly. The campaign manager put his freedom for the rest of his life on the line to lie about it.
They kept working this issue into 2018. Take this alone. Set it apart from the 100 other meetings Trump senior team members had with Russians and the president's record of catering to Russia. Set it apart from the on-going, often lied about plan to build the Trump Moscow tower.
These facts alone--future legal proceedings aside--disqualify Trump from the office he holds and send a message to history that his campaign and his presidency were tainted by the worst betrayal by the President of the republic in our history.
And of course, as just noted, these aren't all the facts. There is much more hinted at in legal documents. We are about to embark on Congressional hearings that will reveal the president's financial dealings that have profoundly compromised him.
We will see the trial of Roger Stone and likely that of the president son and others close to him not only for lying but for conspiring against the U.S. with the Russians, Wikileaks and others. The case against Donald Trump will grow more and more compelling.
But it already reveals him as a traitor to every value we expect of even the most minor figure in our gov't, of every citizen, much less of the commander-in-chief. It is violation of his oath of office of the trust all including those who support him have placed in him.
Every day he remains in office is a travesty and a threat. We need to see what is right before our eyes, accept the evidence and defend our country against the usurpers who occupy the White House.
