Any international body commending an election where almost 50 people died is being hypocritical. They will never accept such in their own countries. But yeah, so long Africans don’t burn their countries down and half of them try to cross to Europe, it’s cool.
All the deaths in Rivers State, waiting to see who gets banned from entering the US and UK. Because I don’t want to believe these folks don’t have credible intel on who is behind the endless mess.
When you threaten and do nothing, you encourage bad behaviour. You need to teach people harsh lessons.
Those who sponsor electoral violence leading to deaths of Nigerian citizens must be identified and prosecuted. Then, banned from traveling out for healthcare and what have you.
We should also be able to build our own institutions so we conduct free, fair/credible elections so we don’t wait for foreign observers every min. INEC, the Police & Army all need significant improvement! Hopefully we won’t need the Army in Rivers state during elections in 2023.
