I have contacted Fox News for a comment about the newly surfaced recordings of @tuckercarlson saying misogynistic things: mediamatters.org/research/2019/… One thing Fox News cannot say: We're shocked and appalled.
@TuckerCarlson That's because even though these new recordings are awful, they are pretty consistent with the public record that preceded @mmfa presenting the recordings. Now for some examples.
@TuckerCarlson @mmfa Remember the time that Carlson, at the Daily Caller, roped his brother into some pushback against a femaile DeBlasio spox who'd requested a correction? She was called "spoogeneck," among other nasty things. Carlson refused to make amends.

On CNN right now, @brianstelter reporting that White House is backing down on hard pass of @acosta. Is fully restoring it.
@brianstelter @Acosta This development comes after this same White House, on Friday night, sent a letter outlining a "preliminary decision" yanking those credentials and inviting @acosta to appeal.
@brianstelter @Acosta And THAT letter, in turn, came after a judge in the CNN v. White House case issued a TRO restoring temporarily the @Acosta hard pass after it was suspended on Nov. 7. White House hadn't given Acosta due process, the court found.

Another thing about the lawsuit from @acosta / CNN v. White House: In its response to the complaint, gov't lawyers argue that while Acosta is on the sidelines, there are plenty of other reporters on the beat.

journalists who retain their hard passes and who will continue to tenaciously ask questions at press events, just as they have done since the revocation of Mr. Acosta’s pass."
@Acosta Based in part on that thinking, the gov't opposes CNN's request for a TRO reinstating @acosta hard pass. But a key question: Just how many other tenacious-question-asking journalists are necessary? Ten, twenty, 150?

Bill Sammon is a messenger without credibility, having admitted that he tried to smear Barack Obama as a socialist during the 2008 election even though he didn't believe that to be the case. mediamatters.org/research/2011/…
As we revealed using leaked Fox emails in 2010 and 2011, Sammon repeatedly used his position at Fox to slant the network's news coverage to the right. mediamatters.org/research/2011/…
It's also fascinating that Fox started adding Martha MacCallum to the litany of Fox "journalists" after Megyn Kelly left. MacCallum is a conservative ideologue on par with the prime-time gang. mediamatters.org/research/2011/…

one racist calls another
in the past its been pretty bad when republicans suck up to limbaugh. but with trump calling limbaugh you actually have a republican elected official who is more of a racist than rush limbaugh. which is an impressive feat.

Fox & Friends' Stormy Daniels coverage this morning was limited to a 50-second newsbrief that aired during each hour. 1/ mediamatters.org/blog/2018/03/2…
The program’s three co-hosts did not discuss Daniels around the show’s curvy couch. No network correspondent detailed the fallout from the WH lawn, nor were political analysts convened to predict what might happen next. 2/
Hogan Gidley, the WH deputy press secretary, went on F&F and got no questions about Daniels' allegations. Certainly the only show where that was possible. 3/
