1. At different times over the last nine years, I have volunteered to tutor middle-class kids on how to take the ACT. (Never the SAT.) They take many practice tests. We discuss test-taking strategies. They study underling topic - grammar, science, etc. They bust their asses....

2...they almost always have done this after already taking the ACT once. Each time, because of their intense, daily work, they have raised their scores significantly. I am always proud of them. (One even got into USC - the center of the "pay to get in" fraud.)

3...is why I am so angry about this college admissions fraud. These kids did NOT have every advantage. Their parents could not afford tutoring. So I did it. They worked hard. They earned their place.

And some of them applied to the schools that the rich kids whose parents paid..

4...bribes and payoffs to get in. Two of them in the same year that these rich kids got in. Those two did not get accepted to the schools those rich kids did by cheating.

They all did well, and got into good schools. But I cant help thinking they would have had more choices....

5...if the utter immorality of the "I have money so deserve whatever I want" crowd.

How can these people NOT have seen there were victims to their fraud? I know the answer. They just didn't give a damn.
