When Jack was young his father died, and aged six he was sent to the Workhouse, which, a’la Oliver Twist, soon apprenticed him out, unlike Oliver Twist, Jack was sent in quick succession to two cane-chair makers. One died, and the second was very cruel and mistreated him.
When he was ten, he went to work as a shop-boy for the man who employed his mother. Mr Kneebone was clearly kind, and taught Jack to read, and secured him a place as a Carpenter’s apprentice when he was around 15.

I dreamed I was fighting some automated mini-tanks through a shopping center, a car (a shell went in one side window but I rolled down the other window and it went right back out), and finally a plane
we thought we were safe on the plane (in new zealand) and I was like "we're ok, as long as one's not on the wing or anything like that!" and then the plane banked and GOD DAMN IT, there's a tank on the wing
fortunately I was able to improvise a "sticky bomb" by combining a grenade with a sex toy I'd noticed in someone's luggage earlier. we had to land because I kinda blew half the wing off, but at least everyone was safe.

Because I'm a solid, physical body, sitting on a solid, physical sofa, in a solid, physical house. Nothing about that can possibly be socially constructed, right?

So let's see how something as solid and physical and intimate as your body is socially constructed.
