Animal rights activists should now be discussing the California fur ban, including the proposed rabbit exemption that would make the bill into a monopoly giveaway to rabbit farmers, at this YouTube channel:

The rabbit farmers are trying to claim there's a difference between fur rabbits and meat rabbits, so they can get an exemption for "meat" rabbits. But this is an obvious lie, they're the same thing.

I've been thinking about why anti-semitism is so attractive, and TBH I think it's just that Jews seem like a soft target. There just aren't that many Jews in the world so it feels safer to go after them.
There are only maybe 15 to 17 million Jews on the whole planet. If your political fantasy narratives require a cabal of sneaky manipulative evil wizards, you might as well pick a small group of people to vilify.

Unpopular opinion: Republicans could win elections fairly easily on general culture-war exhaustion, if they just implemented universal health care. Nixon was smart about this (though he failed). Trump is stupid. Dismantling the ACA = rocket fuel for the Democrats.

OK so we think that productivity growth in rich countries has slowed a lot since the recession.

That might seem minor, but over time it's really bad. Eventually it means back to a low-growth, zero-sum world. And that's probably not a good world.
What else has happened in rich countries since the Great Recession?

Interest rates have been very close to the zero lower bound.

Could these two be connected?

He DESERVES the death penalty.

Every fall three provincial parks in Ontario close to the public so that Indigenous hunters can hunt. Only in Niagara are these hunts met with protestors.

Six Nations Right to Hunt organizes events on these weekends to educate and build community. We did a live recording which includes conversation from one of the organizers and my oldest son.
The protestors are mostly settlers who live around the park and think of the deer as theirs.

Strangely local animal rights activists are on both sides of the protests. Some protest the hunt. Others understand the importance of food sovereignty.

The debate on the Clifton protest on social media is distressingly racist. The protest is entirely legitimate. Our public beaches are there for all, not simply the rich. Neither do I have a problem with the slaughter of an animal. This is a cultural practice of some among us.
The racial profiling in the subsequent debate is shocking. This has targeted animal rights activists who have protested the slaughter. Their argument; by all means protest, but why slaughter an animal? But if this is a cultural practice of some among us, why impose your values?
But the response to the animal rights activists is too often racist.Some have taken trophy photos of white hunters to prove hypocrisy.But what is hypocritical?The animal rights activists were not the hunters.The only thing they shared with the hunters is their skin pigmentation.

• Enrique was 24 yrs old
• He was attempting to clear a blockage in a manure pit pump.
• He was overcome by the gases & collapsed facedown in the manure
• Jose Alatorre also entered the same pit & was affected by the gas
• Both tragically drowned

1. Central Excise is constant. Money Centre gets does not increase or decrease with cost of fuel.
2. State VAT & surcharge is % of cost. Higher the cost, higher the earnings of States.
Pls share.
State VAT & surcharges per litre of petrol and diesel is in % and varies from State to State. Congress-JDS raised it to 32% after forming Govt in Karnataka. Maharashtra has highest VAT on petrol. AP on diesel. Bulk of WB revenue comes from VAT on fuel.
States have limited means of raising resources. VAT on fuel and tax on booze are rich revenue earning sources. States that have prohibition have to depend on VAT on fuel. One of the reasons why prohibition is ill-conceived. Strangely prohibitionists protest loudest on fuel price.
