O’Brian says it’s no longer just a Liffey Cycle Route — there’s major improvements for pedestrians and bus users included in the project.
Access to car parks is maintained and eastbound car traffic is maintained on Eden Quay.
The first public consultation should be in about 2 weeks and will be non-statuary. Unclear of they’ll go with Part 8 or go to ABP will be used after that.
Cllr Ruairi McGinley, wants more car parking capacity around the Four Courts.
Martin Hoey of the Dublin City PPN is against island bus stops. And shared use around Park Gate Street.
Councillor Naoise Ó'Muirí says the route is vital and while there are some trade offs he wants to see support for the scheme.
Councillor Ray McAdam will be supporting the project himself and as FG party leader on the council, he will be seeking support from FG councillors.
