When the story about dropping of anti corruption clauses n Rafale Deal was reported earlier, Govt responded saying “The Deal s btw G to G & there cant be any corruption... so it does not make big difference” but the same has been waived in Offset deals too which is btwn Pvt cos !

Govt logic of no corruption btwn G to G deals can be justified n the purchase of 36 aircraft agreement but why the important anti corruption clauses like ‘no agents, no undue influence,access to books as per DPP 2013’ was dropped n offset which s btwn Dassault / MBDA & Reliance ?

Take the case of MBDA which is also part of Rafale offset deal.
This company is being probed by our agencies for giving 92 crores to Deepak Talwar (Defence agent/middleman) in an earlier Deal.
ED on last month has said this in written application to Patiala House court.

As per ED, they r probing kickback of 92 cr given to a defence agent (Deepak Talwar) by MBDA/Air bus in an earlier Deal,if so,despite knowing that, why did the Govt drop the anti corruption clauses like ‘no use of agents,no undue influence’ involving the same company ?

When most of the earlier Defence deals are under probe for undue influence through agents, why did the Govt drop such important clauses that prohibits such use when it is a record that has been the modus operandi by the companies to influence deals in their favour ?

To a que regarding how Agusta used them to influence the deal in despite the agreement having strict anti corruption clauses like no agents & undue influence,Michel has pointed the same “offset deal” route !
If such clauses were dropped in Agusta deal, it wouldnt be a scam now !
