If all requirements are met all you need to do is go to the state's website and fill out the *Expression of Interest form* known as EOI form.
Just like we normally have cut off mark in university admission, that's how they also have minimum points required for you to enter the pool.
Minimum for states is 65 while for regions it's 60, but this does not guarantee ur nomination, u can score up to the cut off but won't get grant cos there are other people in the pool who have higher points than u, so they'll give those ones grants first before considering u.
And you may remain in the pool for a long time without getting nominated because more people will be gaining more points and entering the pool. Unless if your occupation has lesser number of people applying then they can nominate you on time.
So to save yourself too much stress, long waiting period, and anxiety, it's best you gather as much points as possible to enter the pool.

Indians are smashing the English test and getting more nominations than any other country.
So to be on the safe side, if on your own you can gather up to 60-65 point, in addition to the one the state gives you, that makes your point 70-75.
With this u're sure of getting a nomination in the shortest possible time.
Note that the policies & rules are constantly changing.
The waiting time between your submission of EOI and nomination depends on this.
Some people even get their nomination in 1 week after submitting EOI, while some spend months....
The good thing is that once you enter the pool you're sure of being nominated, the only issue is when and how long you're gonna wait.
For some people it's a good thing because you use the waiting time to prepare and hustle for money if you don't have the money already at hand.
[2/8, 21:42] Chinweike Ajinwo: So after being nominated, they'll send you an INVITATION TO APPLY (ITA)
Once you receive a mail for *ITA* brothers and sisters, you can go and give testimony, and start packing your bags😂
Don't quote me wrong, yes u can be sure to get grant once u get to this stage but anything can happen too. Ur village people may just wrk overtime and they do a background check to find some of ur crazy tweets & FB posts, so once u get to ITA stage purge ur social media accounts.
When ITA comes, you're required to go and pay for your Visa application fee, as well as do your medicals.

So for those thinking about the money, that's when you pay a serious money.....
..other than that all you're going to spend within this whole process is your English test fee ranging from 65-90k depending on which of the test you're taking, your ability to get your desired score at one sitting, etc.
After that you pay $800 AUD (250k) for skills assessment.
When your ITA arrives you're given 60 days to accept it and also pay for your Visa application.

The Visa application fee is $6000 AUD, that's like ± 1m. 900k+

For those with family, I think your your spouse pays about half the amount, I'm not very sure about that.
So at this point you're ready to live and work in Australia for life.
Let me also tell us that they currently amended their immigration policy and their focusing more on the state and regional nomination i.e Visa 190 and 489.
This is to encourage more people to move to the regions, because they cities are becoming more congested and stretched beyond their original design.
With social amenities very much functional. For those looking at work in the agric sector, there are lots of jobs in these areas.
The regions and suburbs are by far better than the best state or residential area you can think of in Nigeria.
