/ I don't buy the FUD that #kubernetes is hard. It is not harder than anything we have used in the datacenter (at least since I have been in IT).
/ The adoption #kubernetes has seen, has been miles above what we saw with previous open source systems like openstack/cloudstack/opennebula/euca
/ Folks who have been managing DC and smaller clusters for a while are used to that type of infrastructure.
/ The API and the years of experience with config management has made things much easier to automate.
/ It is not easy, but it is not harder and folks are more equipped and more savvy now than ever.
/ The perceived difficulty comes from the fact that folks without that DC experience are trying to set it up, which they should not. A dev should not be trying to deploy #kubernetes, but instead *just* use it.
/ docker swarm gave an apparent ease of use and we saw devs running "clusters" on single machines. Heresy !!! But if your job is managing systems and configuring soft, #kubernetes is not hard.
/ The more important question is "what are you doing with it ?", "what problems are you trying to solve ?"
