Application Discovery in #NetworkInsight 4.1 brings application context discovery direct from the infra. You can pull #CMDB data from @servicenow, using @VMwarevSphere or @awscloud tags or use a regular expression on the VM naming convention. Also; this honeycomb 🤤
#NetworkInsight App Discovery cont.: The honeycomb widget can be used to filter out the right applications to save. For example, you can select all apps that are talking to the internet or apps that are shared services. Stay tuned for a deep dive blog post, soon!
#NetworkInsight 4.1 brings support for #PKS (@sakacc will love this!) and vanilla #Kubernetes. Integrated with @vmwarensx for network visibility, with total visibility on the #K8s inventory. Security planning, analytics, flows, searches; #K8s is a first class citizen!
#Container cont.: Using the network visibility through @vmwarensx, the security planning in #NetworkInsight can generate #Kubernetes compatible #YAML files to micro-segment the workloads. Stay tuned for a deep dive blog post, soon!
Continuing with epic new features: Load Balancer support. #NetworkInsight now sees the LB config of @F5Networks and it has an awesome dashboard. The LB has also been added to the VM-to-VM path and there's one more thing...
... #NetworkInsight 4.1 also 'stitches' a network flow together if the #F5 LB is using NAT, so you have full visibility into the end-to-end network flow!
Got tired of adding all @awscloud accounts separately? #NetworkInsight 4.1 now allows you to add a master account and it will discover all linked accounts automatically and start monitoring your public #cloud resources
#NetworkInsight 4.1 also brings support for @Huawei Data Center switches and there's a dashboard with the most important bits of that device displayed and it'll also show up in the VM-to-VM path.
