Just finished Jack London's "Martin Eden." I was completely caught off-guard by how good it was. London created a character so compelling and inspirational, he eclipses one of the author's intended themes (that Nietzchian/libertarian individualism actually is unhealthy).
"Martin Eden" is an especially great book for working writers, because it dives deeply into the tension between writing literature and writing for money, the growth of a writer of time, etc. It's semi-autobio. London's a much better writer at his best than he's given credit for.
Also a good book for SJW librarians like @HalpernAlex.

And also also, based on extensive* research I've learned that it's surprisingly popular with Turks. Which: cool!
