I have some questions about the #GameofThrones episode tonight. (Spoilers obviously.)
We all know that in the last scene Mary of Tatterhall sojourns to the Murky Forest to (we assume) retrieve the griffin antidote for her husband Garth. Fair enough. So why didn't she just ask Bonshu the water mage for it? Is he really that untrustworthy?
And now that Prince Midrat is dead (for now!) who in the Ten Cities has rightful claim to his Ice Golem? The obvious answer from the prophecy is Lady Pythall, but maybe Sir Bragbone could handle it?
Or does any of that even matter now that The Great Sickness has overtaken the Waste and turned its inhabitants into Vapor Knights? Or was that the whole point of Mary's trip in the first place?

#GameOfThrones S8E3 auf iTunes/Apple TV viel viel besser als Amazon. Bestes Beispiel: Gesicht von Arya bei 44:20 bevor sie ein gutes Buch liest (kein Spoiler).
Anderes Beispiel: Farbverläufe im Himmel ab 15:30 sobald das Empfangskomitee eintrifft (kein Spoiler!!). iTunes meilenweit vor Amazon. Sky außer Konkurrenz. Und der Fernseher hier ist alt und nicht so doll.

If I were the #GameofThrones show runners, I'd have given the Night King one more episode. In last night's, he'd have captured Winterfell. The heroes would flee through the tunnels of Winterfell to escape into the forest south of the castle.
Bran is being carried, telling them they must go to Harrenhal. As Viserion stands on the top tower of Winterfell shooting blue flames into the sky declaring victory, Jon loads Bran onto Rhaegal to escape ahead of the fleeing forces.
In the last scene, the wights would have caught up with them and mobbed Brienne of Tarth, but not kill her. They'd have dragged her to the Night King. He pulls out dragon glass, pushes it into her chest, and her eyes turn blue. Cue the credits.

The letdown some people are feeling over the big #GameofThrones episode is that GoT became famous for reinventing the epic fantasy wheel, but it appears to be ending as just a regular old wheel, albeit spinning fast and with a terrific set of shiny rims.
The episode was incredibly intense in the moment, edge-of-your-seat stuff, a 90-minute rollercoaster ride, because GoT long ago demonstrated anything could happen. A terrific sense of the unknown hung over the long-heralded Battle of Winterfell. They could ALL have died.
The unknown is inherently fearful. Having no idea what could happen, never knowing which moment could see a popular and long-established character die, having the fate of the world hanging in the balance is exhilarating.
