The defense continued talking about messages the witness would send back and forth with Raniere. Showed many "good morning Grandmaster" messages that were often accompanied by a naked photo.Witness says she was following her instructions as a slave.
She says the chats were required of her while she was in DOS. Says before DOS she had positive things to say about Raneire. She says during DOS "what I said and how I felt were different."
Raniere's attorney asks the witness if she could have packed up and gone back to England. She said yes, and that she knows this was a choice she made to stay in Albany and with NXIVM.
Defense asks about witness' relationship with both Mark Vicente and Sarah Edmonson. Says she knows both but has not stayed in touch.
Defense asks if she told Raniere she loved him. She says probably through messages, but that she did not love him. "I'm not saying that's the right way to do things, but that's what I did."
She then explains how after the @frank_report started writing about DOS she asked not to use any titles in the chats. This including Master, Grandmaster, slave, etc. She says even after this DOS was active as far as she knew.
We then saw many messages the witness sent to Raniere after he left the Albany area that he did not respond to until one message on Christmas in 2017.
Defense asks if Raniere was sweet to her, she says often yes except for the experiences she talked about in testimony when he was not. This was the end of cross examination.
The prosecution now had re-direct. Asked witness if she had seen the screenshots of the messages or knew where they came from. She said no. Prosecution asked if it were possible Raniere had deleted messages from the app, she said yes but she didn't know if he did or did not.
Prosecution then asked how the witness felt after the sexual encounter with Raniere. She says she had a lot of anger because she felt he was claiming ownership of her before she was allowed to have sex with her husband.
Re-cross had one quick question about if the witness deleted messages even though she was told not to. She said that was correct. This was the end of her testimony.
