EC’s response on allegations of #EVMHacking

Ghazipur: There was issue regarding "Having watch on polled EVM strong room by the candidates" which was resolved by conveying the ECI instructions
2.Chandauli: frivolous alligation by some people,EVMs were in proper security and protocol

3.Domariaganj:EVMs were in proper security and protocol. Agitation was unnecessary. They were convinced by DM and SP. The matter is resolved.
4.Jhansi: EVMs are stored in proper security and protocol in the presence of political parties candidates. No issue.

In fact in all the cases,Polled EVMS and VVPATs were sealed properly in front of the political parties candidates in videography. CC TV cameras are installed
CPAF security is there. Candidates are allowed to have watch on strong room at a time and at a point one representatives of each candidates 24 ×7. The allegations are baseless.

It only does one thing. It shows the number of times each button is pressed.

This is shown to political parties and candidates on a number of occasions during the election process.
FLC (First Level Checking) - all recognised political parties are invited when FLC is done by engineers of the manufacturer (either BEL or ECIL). Webcasting/Videography of entire process is must.
FLC- it’s basically a test of full functionality of EVMs. All past stickers are removed, machines are cleaned, all buttons are checked. It is checked whether every button results in a vote cast against that button. Remember, political parties are asked to remain present.

Here is another guide to all doubting #EVMHacking
1. EVMs are used across the country by Randomization. Once a machines comes to a district the DEO orders FLC or First Level Checking. Political Parties agent cast 1000,1200 to ensure the machine are faultless.
2. All FLC OK machines are tagged in Pink Paper Seal singned by party agents. These are used in Poll Process. Rest are stocked and issues like Clock Error are addressed by ECIL and BEL.

The FLC OK Machines are brought for Commissioning when Poll is declared. It means candidates and symbols are loaded in presence of candidates or representative. Then Candidate Set section in CU, Ballot Paper in BU, VVPAT Roll section are sealed in candidates presence

Lavasa asked only to include his dissent in MCC hearings. Its ECI to decide and evolve over quasi judicial decisions.

Comparison between votes polled and votes counted in MP assembly election:
The votes matched only for 26 out of 230 constituencies.
If there is more votes in EVM than polled, EC blames presiding officers for not clearing mock votes. I disagree because minimum 50 mock votes are polled on each booth (ECI Rule), there is no explanation if difference is less than 50 votes.

Why did Election Commission share secret EVM code with Microchip & Renesas. Why cant BEL & ECIL 'fuse' it onto microcontrollers in their own premises in a secure manner or get it done anywhere in India? Why do this in a foreign country - USA & Japan?

Heres the new 'tamper-proof' Electronic Voting Machines 'Mark-3' launched by GoI to be used at 1800 centres in Karnataka elections for trial & entirely during 2019. Interestingly still the EVM code suppossed to be secret was fused by American Microchip & Japanese Ranesas?
#EVMs like all other machines, are prone to errors and malfunctioning. No machine ever made anywhere in the world is infallible. Machines are also prone to manipulations. Indian electronic voting machines are no exception.
