Just to clarify: I’m not saying ignore all social norms—just in the relevant domain.
Ex: If you want to be really fit, imitate the habits of really fit people. (Social norms might be a sedentary lifestyle and eating fast food.)
If you want to compete in a bodybuilding competition (an example of the top 1% in this example), then you may stop looking at the norms of “really fit people” and narrow even further to competitive bodybuilders.
Twitter Analytics says my audience is 60% male and 40% female. Not a perfect split, but fairly balanced.
For what it’s worth, I notice that my female readers tend to respond more on Instagram and male readers more on Twitter. 🤷♂️
