The D20 I’m going to build today is one of our ‘Unicorn Blood’ kits. This colour is still currently locked on the #Kickstarter but when we get to 1500% or £15k this high spectrum glitter effect will be available in the pledge manager at the end.

So to start off I’ve laid out my pieces in the same pattern as the diagram in the kit, if you have a kit with numbers having a D20 to hand can help you put everything in the right places. Then I’ve got one eyelet piece and one other and tied a standard knot.

A few people have said they are worried about the strength of their knots. If it’s pulled tight it should’t be a problem, but a little super glue can make things extra secure.
you can see in the previous pics how we threaded the cord through the pieces. This is a straight stitch.

For this straight stitch we are cutting lengths of cord slightly longer than 4 times the length of the panel we want to lace together. Cross stitch will take a bit more. Don’t worry we put plenty cord in our kits, Soooo many meters.

So we’ve laced the first 4 pieces together, we could just keep adding to these four and work our way across. But today I’m going to lace 5 sets of 4 then link them up.

Okay so that’s all 5 sets of 4 laced together, now time to fit these together and it’ll start taking some shape 👌

So now we’ve got a whole sheet of sparkly rainbow triangles time to start taking shape

We’ve joined up three of the base triangles now and it’s beginning to look a lot like a D20

The last of the bottom and side all laced up just the edges of the opening flaps to do and add the drawstring

So that’s the flap edges laced and the drawstring toggled! We’re all done. There’s a lovely pile of left over cord there, luckily for you guys we’ve upgraded the cord so it comes on spools rather than hand bundled like mine was so you shouldn’t be left with that tangle 👍

It’s not Brilliant sunshine out today, so our #unicorn effect is a little more subtle than it can be. But the contrasting lacing still makes it look great 👍
