We are a strong country, but not so strong that we can go it alone. The rest of the world's economies, arrayed military forces, and demography, united, will crush us. We've never needed our allies--especially our European allies--more.
And we've never more needed them to be united, not fractious, bickering, and then picked off one by one by Russia. Yet that's precisely what we've encouraged. "America First" was a disaster the first time, it is every bit as much a disaster this time.
Whom the gods would destroy they first make mad. It seems they would destroy us.
