What a quaint postmodern idea—that there are just 2 Americas. Things would be so much easier. In fact, we're much farther down the line of complete atomization than this. Each voter handpicks their own customized reality. FNC viewers reject anything *from FNC* they disagree with.
1/ Until you understand that reality is now "a la carte," you can't even begin to have the conversation about the conversation about starting to solve what ails America.
2/ I can't wait until we reach the final death knell of postmodernism, after which anyone who says "we live in 2 Americas" will immediately be seen as a simpleton.

Our political discourse will not advance until smart journalists like those at the NYT understand, from those of us in academia who study cultural theory, that the postmodern dialectic no longer explains anything and we in fact live in the American Multiverse now—*many* Americas.
1/ *Stop* saying we have two Americas. You can't understand, describe, or explain what is happening in America—and you will never be able to—until you understand that cultural paradigms aren't merely intellectual exercises for academics: they're predictive as well as descriptive.
2/ There's no longer even *gestural* agreement *within* political subcommunities on America's past, present or future; or how to consume news; or the first principles that make a society; or even *how* to *talk* about virtual space or post-internet America. "Two Americas"? Jesus.

(THREAD) Per the Mueller Report, there's presently insufficient evidence Trump conspired with the IRA or GRU—two conspiracies no one alleges occurred. But the report—and what's come out since—confirms that the conspiracy Trump *has* been accused of *did* happen. Read on for more.
1/ When the Mueller Report came out, media's first responsibility was to clarify for Americans (a) what Trump had been accused of, (b) what Mueller actually investigated, and (c) what Mueller had found *and* the problems his investigation had faced. None of these things happened.
2/ These things didn't happen because Trump appointee Bill Barr had orchestrated events so the Mueller Report would be publicly released only after he'd furnished to media a profoundly misleading summary of what America was about to read. It worked—media focused on Barr's letter.

BREAKING: General Who Talked Trump Out of Iran Strike Connected to IP3 International's Secret Saudi Nuclear Deal, Confirming Saudi-Linked Entities Are Helping Dictate the Timing of a War With Iran
1/ Jack Keane is one of the generals a source in Trump's own White House said was secretly using US nuclear policy to make money in conjunction with the Russians and the Saudis. I have no idea why this wasn't prominently highlighted in the Politico story. nbcnews.com/politics/congr…
2/ If in fact Keane is one of the primary reasons we're not at war right now, and is therefore (in a sense) helping dictate when we *do* go to war, America *needs to know* that Keane is connected to three convicts (Flynn, Gates, McFarlane) and the under-investigation Tom Barrack.

this is true across the political spectrum. theyre not all grifts, but dont think this is like ye olden days where politicians are presented with a pile of signatures and will magically change their position
everyone who works in politics and political journalism knows this, but i doubt most regular folks understand it. there's a belief civics works like we learned it does in school.

2) 1st (church calendar) scheduled reading- one of my favorites Psalm 23. When I was little, I memorized this. The words come back to me when afraid- anxious. When loved ones dying, or gone/missing/in harm's way, when in dangerous situations ourselves, this reading gives us peace
3) You may have missed this when I shared it before- this is our choir singing a song based on Psalm 23. I'm the short dark haired one. My son is on my left, the two girls (tall one and curly headed one) on my right are my daughters.

DOJ, GOP, and Trump all failed to address the fact we were attacked by Russia. A well thought out multi-faceted attack. They studied us and used our weaknesses against us. It’s infuriating and poses a huge national security threat to our country
Not one speech, not plan discussed to combat and protect us, nothing. Complete silence
Russia has studied us for so many decades,found all the loopholes in our country,used them for financial gain while compromising key individuals. People thought the Cold War ended but it never did. Hardliners in Russia especially Putin have always blamed the collapse on the West

Great question, Frederik! Thanks for asking! So... a few thoughts about outlining an arc of a comic book series... which is, in many ways, THE HARDEST PART OF THE WHOLE JOB for me!
Planning the initial story arc of a comic book series often feels like the toughest part of writing comics because in order to nail down that story, I have to nail down all the big things that make the series and character tick.
That initial story arc is a kind of mission statement, laying out the main character's big motivating dynamic, building the world, setting the genre and style, and establishing the supporting characters and villains. So it requires a ton of thought.

Futures markets are being hailed as a net positive for bitcoin, introducing institutional liquidity to the market and providing a hedging mechanism for businesses, miners, and speculators. However, the presence of this market can also, theoretically, introduce new attack vectors.
The first of these attack vectors is known as a 'Goldfinger' attack.
Many discuss the potential for nation-states to eventually become involved in mining. But, as governments are able to absorb or tolerate large losses to accomplish a goal, they, as miners, may introduce new factors to consider as well.
