1/ Binance just had its best month in its existence; surpassing $60 billion of reported traded volume in June. The reported traded volume in May and June (~$125 billion) was higher than in the previous four months combined. 
2/ Binance has so far burned ~11.7M of BNB in seven burn events, which represents less than 6% of the total supply of 200M. In Q1 2019, Binance brought in approximately $78M in profits. In total, the exchange had made $733M in less than two years of its existence.
3/ The next burn for Q2 is expected to take place early next week — probably on Monday or Tuesday. And given that Binance just had a record-breaking quarter in terms of reported volume, the net profit in Q2 will very likely surpass $100 million and be as high as $150 million.
4/ Meanwhile, the price of BNB continues to outperform the market. On June 22, the price has hit an all-time high of $39.5 — a 60% increase since January 2018.
5/ Along with the burn, there will also be 16M of the newly unfrozen BNB that will be distributed to the team as part of the yearly vesting schedule. This matters because, at current prices, 16 million BNB equals more than half a billion dollars ($539 million).
6/ This represents significant selling pressure were the team members sell some of their new holdings. CZ hinted that a portion of the to-be unlocked team tokens could be burned but it’s unclear how much and whether it will happen.
7/ The total of 32 million BNB has already been distributed to team members — 16 million in July 2017 (~$1.8 million) and another 16 million in July 2018 (~$194 million). Another 32 million of BNB will be unlocked to team members in 2020 and 2021.
8/ Even though Binance just recorded its best quarter so far, the next few months will be challenging to say the least. The U.S. users, which account for about 20% of the total traffic, will no longer be able to trade on Binance starting from September 12.
