Wasseim Alsati, the barber who was caught up in the Christchurch, New Zeland tragedy, shot multiple times in a mosque along w/ his innocent 5-year-old daughter can finally go home after 4 months in the hospital. His daughter underwent 12 surgeries.

My heart 😭❤️
This was his update in April about his daughter

"...she had a lot of surgeries...my daughter woke up & she doesn't know us...She cannot see us...hear us at all...I don't know if my daughter is cold or if my daughter is warm...my daughter is not replying back to me at all."
And from that to see her like this, to see them like this, joking, laughing, smiling...is just so heartwarming ❤🙏🏽

VP saw 384 men sleeping inside fences, on concrete w/no pillows or mats. They said they hadn’t showered in weeks, wanted toothbrushes, food. Stench was overwhelming. CBP said they were fed regularly, could brush daily & recently got access to shower (many hadn’t for 10-20 days.)

Agent in charge said there wasn’t room for cots andthe facility didn’t have a shower but got a shower yesterday in an outdoor trailer. Some hadn’t showered for 10 or 20 days. Agent said no one had been there longer than 32 days, but some men told CNN’s Pam Brown and me they had.

Hate Speech is saying things that attacks a group of people due to things like
Gender, race, colour or religion.

It's regarded as a crime and it is actually Hate Speech. How an inciting thoughtless ideology is appealing and celebrated by many of you is an indictment of your intelligence if you have any.

This Day in Labor History: The Pittston Coal Company slurry dam collapses in Logan County, West Virginia, killing 125 people. Let's talk about the utter indifference to human life the coal industry shows repeatedly.
Coal slurry is basically the toxic leftovers of modern industrial coal production. This was less of an issue in the days of underground mining but with strip mining and later mountaintop removal, large scale residue became a real problem.
The coal is sifted & processed, washed of impurities, and transported to market by rail or boat. The leftover is the slurry. It includes heavy metals such as arsenic, mercury, beryllium, manganese, selenium, cadmium, as well as toxic chemicals. This is nasty stuff.
