Utterly chilling. This is @patel4witham on citizens challenging the legality of what a government does in court: "It's not for third parties to challenge the government through courts... It's absolutely unacceptable... This should not be about semantics or votes in Parliament."
I know the word "fascist" is bandied about too easily nowadays, but this sort of attack on the Rule of Law and the Separation of Powers, is so absolutely textbook, the term can hardly be avoided.
And, sure, Patel has the IQ of a sponge, but do remember, she is appearing on a flagship programme as a proxy and will have most likely been given this as a "line to take" by the Johnson camp.
