To be clear, professors should have the freedom to write their own exam questions and present them to students for analysis. Similarly, students can share those for comment. We spent a good deal of the semester in discussions around rape generally and consent in particular

Accordingly, it was no surprise to find this on our final exam. Quite common for criminal law courses to focus on rape as well as violent crime in general. Very rare though to discuss corporate and white collar criminality.

Bottom line from today's hearings

In a world where hot takes, hyperbole and flat out lies capture our attention and embed themselves in our minds, both Mueller the Man and Mueller the Report speak a different language.

For those of us who can speak (read and comprehend) this language (shout out to pal @ElieNYC), we appreciate the magnitude of what Mueller and team have told us through his "speaking indictments" through the report, the March letter to Barr, his brief presser, and today.

@ElieNYC What see that Mueller soberly, methodically, accurately and thoroughly investigated and provided the public with truthful evidence that the President corruptly sought to interfere with the investigation into the Russian government attack on the 2016 election.

☕️ Here we go. The Mueller Hearing begins. Judiciary Committee Chair Nadler gavels in at 8:33 am. He praises Robert Mueller's background and convictions he achieved. Cost of investigation "approaches zero" given the forfeitures from Manafort.

Now Nadler is summarizing Volume II of the report. "Among the most shocking" of the obstruction incidents is Trump ordering his White House counsel to fire Mueller.

Said "any other person who acted in this way would be charged with crimes."

Good Morning Australia! Good Evening Switzerland! Today @VTeagueAus, Olivier Pereira & I are releasing details of a second critical flaw in the Scytl/SwissPost #evoting code base. As well as several other soundness issues in other zero knowledge proofs in the system.
As before () I am going to use this opportunity to provide some context. And, wow, is there a lot of context to unpack.
Starting with the critical issue: we found a flaw in the Decryption Proof in the system that would allow an insider to spoil votes for candidates they didn't like and, as in the case of the previous shuffle proof issue, create a "proof" that said they had done no such thing.

Which she says is almost entirely unheard of, but at the same time, she got it because she asked for it. And because she did research first, and made the case. “None of it would have happened if I waited around for someone to tell me to do the work.”
