Let’s be frank: most politicians, the ones who spend their days in halls of power and their nights at high-dollar fundraisers, couldn’t care less about you, and if you think they do care, if you buy their tired rhetoric about “solutions” and “bipartisanship,” you’re a sucker.
You saw it in 2003, in 2008, you see it every day: most politicians are happy to sacrifice you and your livelihood for the rich, the big companies, and the war industry—the ones who give them money. Do you give them money? No? Then why would you think they work for you?
So we have no sympathy for people like John Delaney or John Hickenlooper, whose sole contribution to American life is telling those who want things to improve that better things aren't possible, that our dreary country can't get better. We couldn't care less about their feelings.
