I wouldn't be surprised if half of the party fans believe that 3rd Panipat was some battle against Brits, some idiot said it, it sounds good, so why not pick up and run with it even if u don't know anything about the said battle.
That assumes intellectual honesty when the agenda is simply to get party reelected. It's not like they don't know these things
