Without factories etc what u take for granted won't b possible which is still ok if u r willing to live a pre-industrial lifestyle

Actual dichotomy is between waste & productivity components of GDP
Let's take samosaji's road building, 1 of it's purposes is
to improve mobility (there r also other reasons such as kickbacks for party). But u can achieve the same at a much lower cost to env & people using a mix of rail+walking+cycling but that won't add as much to GDP

If u r making many metal detectors to stop
Mohammedans from going boom boom, that adds to GDP, just not to quality of life.

Other day some1 sent me a paper on littering in Yokohama vs Singapore, much less frequent in former due to cultural norms. Both SG & Yokohama r clean but SG employs 1000's
of sweepers to clean up, many Mohammedans from Bangladesh among them. The brooms used etc all add to SG's GDP but did u really achieve truly productive in the end compared to when people r civilized enough not to litter in 1st place

OTOH without factory
mass production of insulin, millions of type 1 diabetics would have kicked the bucket in a couple of yrs as they were doing a century ago

The agricultural revolution itself radically changed the env, all those green verdant rice fields people wank off to
came from cutting down forests

So before trying to roll back industrial rev, better to attempt preventing avoidablewaste like samosaji's roads or buying a new iphone model every year. Otherwise it's like grade 5 maths fail musing abt solving abc conjecture
