The way to make Trump batshit crazy...ok, I realize what I just did...the way to make him even more El Presidente El Más Loco de Todos Los Locos...would be to launch a specific targeted investigation into his business ties and practices. Mueller didn't do this. It must be done.
We need to know how his business ties have compromised his office and influenced his judgment, what crimes he may have committed,how often he violated the Emoluments Clause or other US laws, how his family may have violated the law, etc. This should be a separate line of inquiry.
It can be part of the impeachment investigation...and should be. And to conduct it the House should hire a sufficiently staffed and experienced forensic accounting team. Go on @RepAdamSchiff, @RepJerryNadler, @RepCummings...let's do what is long overdue. And, please, on TV...

Ratcliffe as DNI, like Barr at Justice, like Trump's appointees to the Supreme Court and McConnell in the Senate, will be part of the president's praetorian guard, men given positions of great power who have but a single mission, to protect and enable Trump.
Together, these men will ensure that Trump remains above the law and able to continue to attack the Constitution, corruptly profit from his office and sell out America to his Russian sponsors. Ratcliffe at DNI can do immense damage to efforts to protect our elections.
He can also help cover up the President's wrong-doing, defend his overseas enablers, suppress or distort facts to buttress the relationships of the President and the arguments he makes for policies that support authoritarianism and more often than not gravely damage US interests.

While we have been called the United States of America since September 9, 1776, that unity has always been more a dream than a reality. Division has defined us as much as have common goals or views, each period in our history shaped by whether we are led by unifiers or dividers.
The first century of our existence was shape by a divide between the agricultural, slave-holding south and the industrial north. That division produced in the 1860s, the bloodiest war ever known to mankind until that point. While the "Union" forces won, the divisions remained.
Those divisions continue to this day to be manifested as those between rural or less populated America & urban America, between those who believe more in states rights & those who support a stronger federal government, between those who embrace diversity & those frightened by it.

Consider this, the Justice Dept. has embraced a view that the only way a sitting president can be held accountable under the law is impeachment. But, they refuse to give the parties responsible for impeachment the evidence (background materials, grand jury info) needed for that.
They also refuse to let witnesses testify to the Congress on what they saw. And the GOP-led Senate has stated they won't even consider any House impeachment finding. In other words, the position of the GOP and the DoJ, is that the president is above the law.
So in short, in addition to being pro-Russian, pro-deficit, pro-racism, pro-corruption, pro-climate crisis, anti-science, anti-woman, anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim, and anti-human rights they are the first pro-monarchy group in the US since the last British troops left 242 years ago.

1. Vamos con unas mudas. Häxan, la brujería a través de los tiempos (1922) de Benjamin Christensen. El primer (o segundo, no sé) falso documental de la historia.
2. El acorazado Potemkin (1925) de Sergei M. Eisenstein. Pilar del cine de propaganda ruso y el lugar donde van a encontrar la secuencia de las escaleras que creían era de los Simpson.

Pongan atención que hoy les voy a contar de qué trata Game of Thrones y un resumen de TODO, lo que ha pasado antes de la última temporada.
Para empezar les cuento que la exítosisima serie de HBO está basada en los libros escritos por George R.R. Martin, unos libros con varias líneas arguméntales que ocurren al mismo tiempo y que no tomaremos en cuenta para este hilo.
Porque la serie y los libros tienen diferencias importantes. Los libros originalmente iban a ser sólo uno, luego 3 y luego 7, se quedaron (por ahora) en el quinto, Pero enfoquémonos en la serie, ya que

Petro sigue llenando las plazas, e incluso los más escépticos empiezan a reconocer que él podría ser el próximo presidente de Colombia.

Pero la perspectiva electoral no puede eclipsar la magnitud, hoy, de su triunfo político.

Para empezar, hay que ver cómo los demás candidatos (que representan distintos matices del mismo establecimiento) fracasan en encontrar el modo de frenar a Petro.

Cada estrategia, cada ataque, cada avanzada termina fortaleciendo el proyecto de la Colombia Humana.

Creyeron que bastaba con ridiculizarlo: “¿cuántas toneladas de aguacate se necesitan para comprar un barril de petróleo?”, se burló el uribista.

Pero Petro aprovechó eso para demostrar que la agroindustria, además de necesaria, es más rentable que el extractivismo.
